The use of a triangular shaped surface wire creates a product that is more durable, easily cleaned and resists collapse. The opening is created by the surface wire, our manufacturing process provides for a consistently uniform slot that insures a non-clog surface, higher flow rates, ease of backwash, and minimizes pressure drop. American Separations can provide surface wire openings as small as 0.001-inches.
These assemblies consist of a series of screen laterals connected to either a central header pipe or a hub. The design allows a uniform collection or distribution flow through treatment media without dead zones. Lateral spacing, length, diameter and slot opening sizes are based on individual system needs. Assemblies are typically made of 304 or 316L stainless steel, other alloys are available. Connections of the laterals can be threaded fittings, couplings or flanges.
